The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Employability Student Lead will assist in the delivery of employability activity across the Manchester School of Architecture, focusing on student preparation for Meet the Practice (MTP), professional communication, and the development of student–alumni networks. The role will involve designing student-facing materials, supporting peer guidance, and contributing to a culture of employability engagement within the school.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create student-facing posters, preparatory materials, and booklet pages for MTP.
- Present the practitioner list in a clear, accessible format, identifying sectors and specialisms.
- Support the coordination and guidance of student ambassadors on the day of MTP. Develop a visual LinkedIn toolkit including:
- guidance on searching for international alumni and practices, and
- guidance on drafting professional LinkedIn posts for sharing via staff in the MSA Alumni LinkedIn Group.
- Set up and maintain a WhatsApp group to share employability updates and opportunities.
- Develop and support a Student Employability Forum to ensure student feedback informs employability planning.
