The Graduate Outcomes GTA will help the School build a clear picture of where graduates go after their studies and how they progress in their careers. The role involves using publicly available information to identify recent alumni, record their job roles, and understand the sectors they work in. The GTA will also contribute to resources that help students learn about different career paths.
The post supports Amy Hanley, the MSA Employability Lead, who oversees employability activity and works to strengthen student understanding of professional practice and career development. The GTA will assist by producing accurate summaries of graduate destinations and contributing to communication and research tasks linked to Graduate Outcomes activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify recent MSA alumni using publicly available LinkedIn information and note job roles, employers, sectors, and locations.
- Update School‑level information on recent graduate destinations using appropriate recording tools.
- Identify alumni who may be suitable contributors for online events (e.g., Meet the Practitioners) and support staff with initial outreach preparation.
- Assist in producing alumni case studies, using publicly available or alumni‑provided information to highlight career journeys and graduate success.
- Support communication activity that increases awareness of the Graduate Outcomes survey and its purpose.
- Contribute to the development of a LinkedIn toolkit, including guidance on identifying alumni, understanding professional pathways, and building a professional network.
