We’re looking for enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate taught students to join our upcoming focus groups. We are interested in understanding the habits, preferences, and motivations of students in engaging with university reading lists and other learning resources. We are particularly keen to explore how this engagement influences learning experiences, especially among students from global majority backgrounds.
Focus Group Details:
This will be an in-person focus group with two researchers. The session will be semi-structured and will explore your experiences with reading lists at Manchester Metropolitan University. We’re seeking students who are open, honest, and eager to share their perspectives.
We are looking for student representation from all four faculties.
Dates and hours of work:
Monday 16 March 2025 – 10:00am – 12:00pm
Wednesday 18 March 2025 – 10:00am – 12:00pm
Wednesday 18 March 2025 – 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Total hours: 2 (you will be selected for only one of the above times)
As a focus group participant, you’ll be:
- Sharing your experiences with reading lists as an undergraduate or postgraduate taught student.
- Discussing habits, preferences, and motivations in engaging with university reading lists.
