Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
  
The Science and Engineering marketing team is currently seeking to recruit organised and enthusiastic students currently studying within the faculty to work as ambassadors at our next Applicant Visit Day on Saturday 14 March.

Applicant Visit Days are an opportunity for prospective students with an offer to study with us to have a second look around campus and our facilities, take part in an interactive taster session and meet future coursemates.

We are looking to recruit students to represent the following course areas:
- Biology
- Biomedical Science
- Computing (AI and Data, Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering)
- Electrical Engineering 
- Mechanical Engineering 
- Sport Coaching and Development
- Sport and Exercise Science 
- Manchester City Community Football Coaching 

Duties:
- Represent your course area and the faculty of Science and Engineering at the Visit Day.
- Support academics by answering questions from prospective students and their guests, assisting with faculty presentations and taster sessions.
- Assist visitors with directions, guidance and general queries.

Date: Saturday 14 March 2026
Hours of Work: 3

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements:
  • Confident and outgoing, with a positive perspective on Manchester Met Uni.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with visitors.
  • Responsible, with the ability to show initiative.
