Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. 

The School of Sociology and Criminology is looking to recruit a Graduate Outcomes (GO) Champion. The GO Champion will support and lead activities in the School of Sociology and Criminology which

  1. support the development of professional skills in our graduates and undergraduates
  2. promotes activities which will support the development of graduate level skills, and
  3. raise awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey

The GO Champion will work in their role for up to 2 days a week. 

Key activities

  • Data collection, data management and data analysis of a database of the Class of 2025 from the School of Sociology and Criminology
  • Contacting graduates from the Class of 2025 to identify their current roles
  • Contributing to the School of Sociology and Criminology LinkedIn page
  • Raising awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey to current students and graduates of Class of 2025
  • Promotion of activities which will support professional skills (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Rise courses, Careers Service)
  • Develop content via Adobe Express regarding Graduate Outcomes Survey and Departmental Events
  • May need to assist on the day with an event 

You will mostly be working in excel spreadsheets for the duration of the role. 

You are not required to work on campus - This is a remote working role and you must have access to a laptop in order to complete the required tasks. 

Details:
Dates: 6th April to - 24 November 2026
Hours of Work: Up to 6 hours per week to start 
Details of briefing: You will be briefed on expectations, workload and what type of work that is to be completed
 

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements - 
 
  • You must be a former undergraduate student from the School of Sociology and Criminology who graduated in summer 2025, and you must now be enrolled on a postgraduate course at Manchester Met.
