The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
We are seeking a friendly and approachable Student Intern to provide teaching support within 2D game development classes. This role is ideal for a student with strong working knowledge of Unity, confident navigating the editor, particularly in creating 2D games with tilemaps and sprites, who enjoys helping others learn and build confidence.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support students during practical sessions, assist with troubleshooting, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Dates: 16th March 2026, 23rd March 2026, 20th April 2026, 27th April 2026.
Hours per week: 7 (9am-5pm)
Students will be expected to develop the following skills and experiences while carrying out this internship:
- Unity 2D development skills, including working with tilemaps, sprites, scene setup, and basic gameplay systems
- Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving within Unity projects
- Communication skills by explaining technical concepts and supporting students
- Mentoring and leadership by assisting students with different ability levels
- Teamwork through working alongside teaching staff in a classroom environment
- Professional confidence gained from supporting learning in a practical class setting
