The Printmaking and Textile Print & Dye workshops are seeking an intern to assist with light workshop duties. The role offers up to eight hours per week, with flexibility depending on the successful applicant’s availability.
The successful applicant should have a strong background in print processes and be familiar with the MSoA workshops. In exchange for helping keep workshop activities running smoothly during a busy period, the intern will gain valuable insight into workshop operations and experience supporting essential behind‑the‑scenes tasks.

Hours per week: 10
Students will be expected to develop the following skills and experiences while carrying out this internship:
- Awareness of workflows for screen printing on paper and textile
- Experience exposing artwork onto screens and clearing old screens
- Preparing inks and pigment dyes
- Understanding best practice for workshop preparation and setup
- Experience of general workshop culture and routines
- Developing skills in process areas relevant to print practice
Please Note – As part of the 2026 Student Internship offering, priority will be given to Level 5 & 6 students who have specified in the Careers Registration survey (completed during enrolment and cannot be changed at this time) that they have had no work experience in the last 12 months and would like on‑campus work or a short work placement. However, applications are welcomed from all students meeting the criteria below.
Students are only eligible to undertake one internship under the 2026 Student Internship offering.
