Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The Social Media Intern will support the founders in developing and executing the brand’s social media presence. You will be responsible for planning content, analysing trends, creating engaging posts, and producing social media content—including filming and repurposing an interview with the founders.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organised, and passionate about fashion, storytelling, and digital content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Strategy

- Develop and implement a social media plan aligned with the brand’s goals and aesthetic.
Plan and schedule content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity.

  • Content Creation

- Create eNgaging social media content including short-form videos, posts, and stories, from previously captured b-roll and their own filmed content 
Experiment with new formats and creative approaches to content.

  • Trend Analysis

- Research current fashion and social media trends.
Identify trending sounds, formats, and hashtags that could benefit the brand.
Provide suggestions on how the brand can leverage trends in an authentic way.

  • Founder Interview Project

- Plan and film an interview with the founders about the brand story, vision, and inspiration.
Edit the footage and repurpose it into multiple pieces of social media content (short clips, reels, quotes, etc.).
Develop a content series based on the interview material.

  • Performance Monitoring

- Track and analyse social media performance (engagement, reach, growth).
Provide simple reports and recommendations for improving content and strategy.

This role will be for up to 75 hours work.

The Company

Belladonis is a small fashion start up created by partners Charlie and Will, now entering its fourth year of business.

Rooted in the queer community the brand focuses mostly on custom commission work, working primarily with drag queens, having had work on Drag race UK for the past 4 years, as well as bridal and burlesque. We are currently aiming to expand our reach and client base.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who have:

- Interest in fashion, branding and the queer community.
- Strong creativity and ability to generate content ideas.
- Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok.
- Basic video filming and editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
- Ability to identify and interpret social media trends.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team.
