Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 

We are looking for someone to assist the Head of Digital in curating the company's various social media channels, including creating content.

A unique opportunity has arisen to join a pop culture brand who specialise in creating licensed gifts and collectibles for some of the biggest film and video games on the market.

This is a new role as the company looks to increase online following, increase brand awareness and boost engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the content output for the company’s online presence
  • Working closely with the commercial and creative team to help devise a social media strategy
  • Producing content, including imagery and video
  • Managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Expand and manage the social media presence to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the website
  • Provide social analytics and analysis to help optimise activity
  • Researching various topics to create engaging and relevant content for the site / social media, and executing this content
  • Keeping abreast of topical/current pop culture trends and ways to increase brand awareness for the company


Dates: March 2025 - May 2025

Hours: 7 hours per week over 3 weeks / 3.5 hours over 6 weeks as agreed.

Location: Goostrey, Cheshire (hybrid working possible upon discussion)


This role will be for up to 21 hours work.


The Company

Fanattik, based in the Cheshire countryside, work with some of the biggest film, TV, and gaming brands in the world, creating high-quality gifts and collectibles and selling them all over the globe. We're a small team but every one of us is passionate about the work we do, and the brands that we work with.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements - 
 
  •  Studying a Film & Media degree in the School of English
  • A passion for films, gaming & general pop culture
  • Someone with an operational mind-set yet with creative flair
  • Someone with attention to detail and good writing skills
  • Someone able to spot trends and has an inquisitive mind
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • A passion for digital, content and social media marketing
  • A knowledge of social media, content and the digital landscape although training will be provided.
  • Ability to bring new ideas to the table and be able to complete them
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude
