Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
The Central Outreach team are seeking to recruit students to facilitate walking groups of college students during their visit around the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design studio spaces in Chatham Building and the workshop spaces in the Lowry Building.
 
You will be expected to provide a positive and informative perspective on all aspects of studying here at Manchester Met and being a part of the Manchester Met University community.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Be familiar with the layout of the studio and workshop spaces and their usage.
  • Answer questions about university as you walk the students around. You can direct complex questions to Outreach and teaching staff.
  • Take part in a short student Q&A.
Date: Friday 20 March 2026
Hours of Work: 10am-12pm

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements:
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Studying the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or have studied Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with staff and visitors.
  • Ability to undertake any role with a positive and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of the Chatham studio spaces and the Lowry workshop spaces.
