The Disability Service is currently looking to recruit Disability Service Student Ambassadors, to support student focused events in the 2026-2027 academic year.
This role is open to students who are registered with the Disability Service, and who will be fully enrolled in the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must have at least a year’s experience as a student at Manchester Met and must be registered as a disabled student.
Key Tasks
- To attend an online training session on Wednesday 24th June times TBC (you will be paid to attend this)
- To support the transition of new students with a disability to the university by being present at open days and bespoke events run by the Disability Service
- To speak with new students about the challenges of transition to university as well as the positive opportunities of university life
- Some public speaking will be involved
Subject to ambassadors completing the required training, you will be able to support our bespoke applicant Information Events. These are currently planned on the following dates:
- Wednesday 15th July 2026, On Campus, all day event.
- Thursday 16th July 2024, Online, timings TBC.
We will also have an online event for prospective students and quiet campus tours taking place in September. There will be further opportunities to represent the Inclusion & Disability Service as an ambassador throughout the academic year.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a short online group interview on Friday 22nd May, either AM or PM.
