Job Description

The School of Sociology and Criminology is looking for three student content creators to assist with the creation of new subject-specific marketing resources.

We’re looking for students to create TikTok/Instagram reel-style content inspired by your experience at Manchester Met. You might film a tour of campus, interview your peers, share your day in the life, or post the best spots in Manchester for students. What is it like to be a student at Manchester Met? What do you enjoy the most? What advice you might give to current students, or those hoping to study with us? Now is your chance to share with us and create content reflecting your experience.

General Duties:

  • Generate student-led content ideas for the School of Sociology and Criminology social media channels (@manmetcrimsoc).
  • Film and edit your own content, using tools such as CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats. This would include turning a blog post into an Instagram carousel, using templates on Adobe Express.
  • Work alongside with the School of Sociology and Criminology Social Media Lead to ensure content aligns with our goals.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends.

Dates: June 2026 - June 2027
Hours of Work: 5 hours per-week, flexible around studies.

Person Specification
