Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
   

We are looking for two confident and engaging students to support an upcoming university event as Event Hosts / Performers.

In this role, you will:

  • Welcome and interact with guests, helping to create a friendly and professional atmosphere
  • Support the smooth running of the event alongside the organising team
  • Deliver a short live performance (including singing and light entertainment) as part of the event programme

This is a great opportunity for students who enjoy performing and engaging with live audiences, while representing the University in a positive and professional way.

 
Location: On-campus – Manchester Metropolitan University (Grosvenor East)
Date: Thursday 14th May 2026
Hours: 8 hours (including arrival, briefing, performance, and guest engagement)

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who:

  • Are studying Acting, Drama, Theatre, or a related performance discipline
  • Have a confident singing ability suitable for a live audience
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are friendly, approachable, and professional
