Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

We’re looking for a small team of engaging, confident students to help bring this year’s Manchester School of Art Degree Show to life across social media.

Working with the Creative & Culture Marketing Team and alongside our SODA social intern, you’ll act as a student voice for the Degree Show - helping us showcase work in an authentic, accessible and engaging way.

This is a presenter-focused role. You’ll appear in filmed content, interview fellow students about their work. All filming and editing will be handled by our team - your role is to bring energy, curiosity and personality on camera.

The role is flexible in how hours are used each week, depending on filming opportunities and student availability, so it would suit someone who is adaptable and responsive.

Time commitment: 4 hours per week across 4 weeks (18 May – 12 June)

What you’ll do:

  • Present and feature in social media content (e.g. Instagram Reels)
  • Interview students on camera about their Degree Show work
  • Record voiceovers for Degree Show related content
  • Support with representing the student experience of the show
  • Work closely with the Creative & Culture Marketing Team and social intern

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in presenting, arts marketing and public engagement, and to be part of a major public-facing event at Manchester School of Art.

Date: 18 May – 12 June
Hours of Work: 4 hours per week

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements -

  • Friendly, curious and able to put others at ease in interviews
  • Flexible and responsive, with availability that can shift week to week
  • Reliable and professional when representing the School
