Job Description


Monitoring & Evaluation Data Assistant:

Greater Manchester Higher is a collaborative network of higher education providers, offering impartial information, advice and guidance to help young people make informed choices about their future.

Core responsibilities

Supporting the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to maintain and enhance a suite of monitoring and evaluation tools and processes.

This role involves using Microsoft Excel and Jisc Online Surveys to input and validate participant data across the programme, ensuring high standards of data quality and accuracy. It also supports the production of timely, reliable information for reporting to the Greater Manchester Higher Governing Board, Steering Group, and other key stakeholders. In addition, the role contributes to the ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of the programme.

Other

Conduct all activities within the legal responsibilities of GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.

Date(s): 2 days a week starting week commencing 8 June 2026 up to and including 26 June 2026 - one of those days must be a Thursday

Hours of Work: 09:00am - 4:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break (6 and a half hours per day)

Details of briefing/training: To be provided on first day

Successful Applicants must be able to bring their own laptop to work on or borrow one from the library ahead of each shift
 

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements: 

  • Knowledge in survey design.
  • Must have experience in using MS Excel.
  • Skilled in creating surveys using Online surveys platform.
  • Knowledge in report-writing
  • Must be available to work on Thursdays 09:00am - 4:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break and one other day per week
  • Must be able to provide their own laptop or loan a laptop from the University to work on before each shift
