Job Description

 

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students living in University owned halls. To apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

 

Man Met Sport are looking to recruit a team of Manchester based Hall Reps to start in September 2026. You will be required to deliver sports and events for the academic year 2026-27.

The Hall's Rep role consists of the following:

 
  • Delivering sport sessions as part of the Active Halls programme - such as badminton and table tennis
  • Support the delivery of wellbeing activities such as Yoga and running
  • Collect and analyse student voice to inform future delivery
  • Increase student engagement by doing pop-up events and promotional stands
  • Reduce barriers and increase confidence in students
  • Encourage students to attend our other Man Met Sport programmes

 

Man Met Sport are looking for 2 reps, working approximately 4 hours per week each.

 

Dates and Hours

 

September 2026 - December 2026, 4 hours a week on campus, Monday – Sunday for the autumn term with potential to increase to an ongoing role.

 

Successful applicants will be invited to an online interview (MS Teams) on the 10 or 11  September 2026 (Timings to be confimed)

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who are living in MMU owned Halls of Residences and who exhibit Man Met Sport's core student workforce behaviours; that is they are/have:

In addition, applicants should be/be able to/have:

Essential

  • Manchester Met Student that will be enrolled on a course for the duration of the 26/27 academic year
  • An enthusiastic and 'can do' attitude
  • A love of sport and an attitude that will help convince people to play and compete
  • Live in MMU owned halls of residence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a team with some independent working
  • IT literate
  • Strong time management skills and flexibility to fit responsibilities around your studies
  • A sound understanding of social media

Desirable
•          First Aid and previous coaching experience and qualifications beneficial but not essential
