The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Two Final year Economics students are required to help create ‘Economics Futures’ online resource. To take the existing RISE Psychology Futures course and adapt this for Economics, creating case studies of suitable roles, alumni stories, masters support etc (potentially start a podcast/ other resource). Would develop communication and employability skills, allowing students to network with professionals and alumni, to build a resource students can use to aid their employability journey in Economics.
Duties would include
- Setting up the 'Economics Futures' resource
- Liaising with University colleagues to find alumni stories and Postgraduate opportunities
- Finding suitable roles to advertise to final year students, along with placements/internships for second years
- Speaking to employers of Economics graduates to gain insights into what they are looking for
- Scope out a podcast for this, in terms of feasibility and content
- Come up with other suitable inititatives
Students will be supported by departmental academics.

Hours of Work: Up to 10 hours per week each to the end of December 2026, up to 5 hours per week each from January 2027
