Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. 

Manchester School of Architecture are seeking M.Arch-2 students to support a formal review of BA2 Architecture student projects on 24 November 2026. Working alongside BA2 academic staff, you will contribute to the review process by providing constructive verbal and written feedback on student presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in the BA2 project review session.
  • Provide thoughtful verbal feedback to presenting students.
  • Complete written feedback during the review.
  • Support academic staff in delivering a constructive and professional review process. 

Date: 24 November 2026
Time: 9:30am to 5:00pm
 

Prior to the review, successful applicants will receive a briefing covering:

  • The review schedule and presentation timings.
  • The BA2 project brief, site, programme and assessment criteria.
  • Techniques for delivering constructive and professional feedback.
  • The importance of balancing academic standards with a supportive approach that promotes student wellbeing and positive learning experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your critical review, communication and mentoring skills while supporting the learning and development of undergraduate architecture students.

Person Specification

The role is only open to current students of Year-2 (M.Arch-2) the Master of Architecture Programme at Manchester School of Architecture, Manchester Metropolitan University Students.

 
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following: 
  • Current Year 2 (M.Arch-2) student on the Master of Architecture programme at Manchester School of Architecture.
  • Based in the UK for the duration of the role.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, project development and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to provide constructive verbal and written feedback.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, reliable and able to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • Committed to fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Available to work on 24 November 2026, 9:30am to 5:00pm. 

This role would suit a confident and approachable M.Arch-2 student who is interested in supporting the academic development of undergraduate architecture students through constructive and professional feedback.
