The Doctoral College Arts and Humanities Faculty (DCAHF) are seeking a PhD Researcher to lead and coordinate a hybrid (online/in-person), peer-led PhD seminar programme in the 2026/2027 academic year. The role will cover two seminar series, each consisting of approximately 8 seminars, held on a fortnightly basis, with exact dates to be agreed. The intention of the seminar series is to provide a friendly, supportive space to develop critical research skills and build community.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead on all aspects of organising the seminar programme, as well as setting up the seminar space and attending every seminar.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect expressions of interest for potential seminar presentations.
- Create an engaging schedule of seminars.
- Create appropriate marketing materials such as a poster, and text for Moodle announcements and the Doctoral Student Digest.
- Liaise with presenters to ensure the smooth running of each seminar.
- Liaise with relevant University staff members to coordinate marketing, room bookings, AV equipment bookings and catering bookings.
- Communicate seminar information to the relevant audience, via Outlook meeting invitations and emails, posters, and University communication channels.
- Answer questions and expressions of interest via email.
