The current opportunity is available for current Business and Law Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Calling all content creators!
Want to show prospective applicants what it's really like to study at Manchester Met?
We're looking for creative undergraduate students from the Faculty of Business and Law to produce short reels/engaging video content inspired by your own university experience and current social media trends.
Depending on the video, you could talk about student life, placements, studying abroad, societies, living in Manchester, or anything else that gives prospective students an authentic insight into life at Manchester Met. We want your ideas and creativity, so we're looking for students who can pitch original concepts based on their own experiences.
You'll need to be comfortable filming yourself, speaking confidently to camera, and editing short-form videos using your preferred editing software or app.
Your content will be used across Manchester Met's social media channels, email campaigns and student recruitment activities to inspire future students to choose Manchester Met.
This is a flexible opportunity over the next academic year. We'll discuss content ideas with you throughout the year and check in to provide feedback and support throughout the process.
As a Student Social Media Content Creator, you'll:
- Propose creative content ideas that showcase student life within the Faculty of Business and Law.
- Plan, film and edit engaging short-form videos for our social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Share authentic experiences of studying at Manchester Met.
- Keep up to date with current social media trends and adapt them to create engaging content.
- Work with the Marketing team to refine ideas, receive feedback and deliver content to agreed deadlines.
- Attend occasional filming sessions or promotional activities where required.
- Be available to attend and cover events such as guest speakers, field trips and student projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to build your content creation portfolio, develop digital marketing and storytelling skills, and gain experience creating content for a university brand. You'll work closely with the Marketing team, receive feedback on your work, and create content that will inspire future Manchester Met students while strengthening your CV and professional portfolio.
