Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Manchester School of Law is looking for a student to manage the Manchester Law School Blog. You will liaise with Manchester Law School academic staff, supporting staff and student societies to collect information to be disseminated on the blog. Manchester Law School blog shares stories, opportunities, and updates about Manchester Met Law School. It is essential for you to have an interest in writing and finding new and exciting stories to cover on an online platform.

Responsibilities

Manage Manchester Law School Blog
Collaborate with Manchester Law School academic staff, support staff and student societies
Present information in a user friendly style on the Blog.
Assist with related student support/experience work if there is any capacity each week.

Dates: 30 September - 20 December 2024

Hours: Approximately 2- 2.5 hours per week, 30 hours overall contract

Please note - After an initial briefing, management of the blog can be undertaken at the convenience of the student. Completion of weekly hours will be up to your discretion, and selected student will assist with other student support/experience activities to be agreed with the hiring manager if anticipated hours are not met.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements:

Essential

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information in a user friendly style.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable

A student from Manchester School of Law
