The Department of Sociology is looking to recruit a Graduate Outcomes (GO) Champion. The GO Champion will support and lead activities in the Department of Sociology which
- support the development of professional skills in our graduates and undergraduates
- promotes activities which will support the development of graduate level skills, and
- raise awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey
The GO Champion will work in their role for up to 2 days a week.
You will need to have been an undergraduate student in the Department of Sociology, graduating in summer 2024, and will now be enrolled in postgraduate study at Manchester Met.
Key activities
- Data collection, data management and data analysis of a database of the Class of 2024 from the Department of Sociology.
- Contacting graduates from the Class of 2024 to identify their current roles
- Contributing to the Department of Sociology LinkedIn page
- Raising awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey to current students and graduates of Class of 2024
- Promotion of activities which will support professional skills (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Rise courses, Careers Service)
- Develop content via Canva regarding Graduate Outcomes Survey and Departmental Events
You will mostly be working in excel spreadsheets for the duration of the role.
You are not required to work on campus - This is a remote working role and you must have access to a laptop in order to complete the required tasks.
Dates: 19 May to 24 November 2025
Hours of Work: Up to 6 hours per week
