Job Description

Please note, this opportunity is only available to Manchester Met 2024 graduates who will be based in the UK for the duration of this role. You must have graduated from an undergraduate course from Manchester Met in June 2024 to apply. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from current or previous postgraduate students.
  
 
Background
The main purpose of this role is to assist the Student Enrichment Manager for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities to deliver an enrichment programme that supports student experience and career readiness through a range of activities that are accessible, inclusive and relevant for all students across the Faculty.
 

Key Responsibilities 
Assist across all aspects of Faculty enrichment planning and operations, including activity design, engagement monitoring, impact measurement, data collection and analysis, as well as event feedback and evaluation in order to iteratively improve our opportunities on offer.
 
 
 Key Tasks
  •  Support the design, promotion and delivery of Rise activities and events.
  •  Support the qualitative and quantitative reporting of the student enrichment programme to key Faculty groups.
  • Support project and event management tasks, including working with room bookings, timetables, marketing, communication and procurement.
  • Support core Faculty weeks, including Induction, Welcome, and Week 6 employability week.

Dates: Monday 11 August - Friday 31 October 2025
Hours: 35 hours per week full time, except for Bank Holiday Monday
Working pattern: Monday to Friday. Working hours are 08:45am-16:30pm with an unpaid 45-minute lunch break

Person Specification

This role is only open to those who graduated from a Manchester Met undergraduate course in June 2024 and are not currently studying, nor have previously studied, on a postgraduate course. 
  

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:
  •  Proficient in Microsoft office.
  •  Excellent professional presentation and time management appropriate to an in-person customer service role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail.
  • Confident engaging with both staff and students, 1:1 and in small groups.
 
Desirable: 
  •  Background in Arts and Humanities
  • Previous experience working with data.
  • Previous experience in graphical design (adobe)
  • Previous experience in public speaking, confident engaging with both staff and students in larger groups.
