The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Graduation Helpline Advisors work with the Student Hub to help University staff handle a high volume of phone and email enquiries about graduation in the run up to the ceremonies in July. Work typically starts shortly before the booking system opens in April, and runs through late July.
Students who work this role will gain customer service experience, familiarity with University systems, and an understanding of processes within a large organisation. Students will communicate with colleagues across the University via phone, email, and Teams, and will need to stay alert for emerging issues and feedback from staff.
A typical day in this role will include:
- handling inbound enquiries about graduation from students and parents
- assisting with enquiries about related issues, such as certificate mailing information
- using reports to identify and resolve common enquiries with your manager’s assistance
- referring more advanced queries to the appropriate team for resolution
Advisors may be called upon to assist with other tasks during quieter times.
Note that part of this role occurs during term time and part outside standard term dates, so may be subject to work hours limits during term time.
Dates: Mid-April through to late July
Hours of Work: Weekdays 9:45am-4:15pm (helpline is open weekdays 10am-4pm) - working days may vary dependent on hours limits
