The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
There is an opportunity for a student to work as Events Assistant on an upcoming recruitment event for a sociolinguistics research project based at the Palace of Westminster, London.
The role will largely involve helping to set up the event, and then take accurate details of potential participants for a future research project. However, given the high profile of the event and the venue, it is important that you feel comfortable speaking to people and representing the project and the university.
You will be paid for the event itself (2 hours + 1 hour set-up and take-down), plus travel time to London up to a maximum of 6 hours (3 hours each way). Your travel costs will also be covered.
Duties may include:
- Assist in pre-event preparation.
- Assist with the delivery of the event.
- General administration duties.
