Job Description

This opportunity is for current international Manchester Met students only, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Information about the shoot:

The International Team are looking for current international Manchester Met students to take part in a professional photoshoot that will help promote both Study UK and Manchester Met to prospective students around the world.

The Study UK campaign is a global initiative delivered by the British Council in partnership with the UK Government's GREAT Britain campaign. It promotes the UK as a leading international study destination and showcases the outstanding student experience, academic opportunities, and career prospects available to students studying in the UK.

As a student participant, you will:

  • Take part in a professional photography shoot on campus and in Manchester city centre.
  • Represent the diverse international student community at Manchester Met.
  • Follow guidance provided by the photography team and project organisers.
  • Be comfortable appearing in photography and promotional materials for Study UK and Manchester Met.

No previous modelling or photoshoot experience is required.

Your images may be used in:

  • A wide range of Study UK programmes, marketing and communications activities, including but not limited to GREAT Scholarships, Study UK Alumni Awards, MOOCs, in-country exhibitions, fairs, workshops, and online and offline promotional content. 

  • Manchester Met:
    • Social media channels
    • Printed publications and prospectuses
    • Digital and third-party advertising
    • Communications to prospective students
    • Other promotional and marketing materials

Dates

  • Friday 9 October 2026
  • Monday 12 October 2026

Times: 9:00am-5:00pm (you'll be given a specific timeslot and may not be needed all day)

Location

  • Manchester Met campus
  • Manchester City centre

Before the shoot

  • A briefing document will be sent out outlining the dress code, meeting points, timings, and contact details.
  • Information about what to bring on the day.
  • A 1-hour drop in session will also take place for any questions you may have. 

Person Specification

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:

  • Be a current international Manchester Met student.
  • Be available on Friday 9 October and/or Monday 12 October.
  • Be confident and comfortable in front of a camera.
  • Be friendly, enthusiastic, and positive.
  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • Have good time management skills.
  • Be able to follow instructions from the project and photography teams.
  • Be comfortable with your images being used by Study UK and Manchester Met for promotional purposes.
  • Be willing to wear modest clothing suitable for an international audience, avoiding low-cut tops,cropped tops or clothing that exposes the midriff, and clothing with prominent branding or logos.

No previous photography, modelling, or media experience is required.
